Little Fearless (Hero)
Little Fearless was taken from her home without any choice and was brought to the institute as a Z-girl. Except she was different, she was the only one out of the 999 other girls there who actually wanted to escape this horrible place. She was punished for this. Little Fearless's inpirations led her to try once, twice and finally a third chance of escaping. Finally she led everyone to freedom. (all throughout the book)
Soapdish (Maya)
A clean freak who always carries a ragdoll in her pocker, which she cherishes more than anything else. Not a main character but another one of the nasty X-girls

Stargazer
Stargazer si extremely scared of everything, but as the book goes on she become very loyal and resilient girl. She never forgot Little Fearless when she got locked up in the Pit, dying because of her. Her inspirations were to help Little Fearless's plan to get out. Although her name isn't revealed, she was extremely important to the plot of the story and her inspirations.
Stench (Lila)
This X-girl was the institute's rubbish monitor. She was very greedy and rummages through other people's rubbish. Falling into the tricks of Little Fearless, Stench let's her escape this prison with the condition that LF gives up her most prized possessions. All Stench wants are valuable items. (Pages 60~77)
