Dear Mr. Lott,

My name's Richard Cai, I'm 13 years old and lives in Australia. I have recently read one of your amazingly written books. It was "Fearless" and I really enjoyed reading it, I confess that I did shed a tear or two at the end of the book, but that's what makes an excellent book.

I love the way you use your words and the interesting twist at the end. It made me really think about the meaning of life. Although many people at my school have said the it is a "girl's book", I, out of my own curiosity, read your novel and was intrigued. It can definitely be read by both genders.

I am writing this e-mail to ask you a few questions  for an assignment at school. If you would please answer them, it would be much appreciated.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?
Did you create this story completely on your own or with the help of other people?
How did you know when to end the story?
Did you think it was going to make your readers cry?
How long did it take for you to write this novel and get it published?
What would you rate your own book and why?

Thanks so much! I will definitely be recommending this fantastic book to other people. Thanks again!
Yours sincerely,

Richard Cai
